Fred Kopp, Partner
Fred has a solid history of helping organizations improve their brand identities, with his long career with Wegmans Food Markets, a retailer known for innovation and competitive tenacity. In an executive capacity at Wegmans, he contributed to their success by spearheading many powerful customer communication initiatives that were well ahead of others in the retail industry, continuously driving sales and profit increases.
Fred moved on to co-found and raise investment moneys for m2Methods, a retail-focused work and communications process improvement company.
He founded e-Z Com, LLC Communications Solutions, which provided advertising and marketing process improvement solutions. And before becoming Partner at Kopp & Brown, Fred ran Entrepreneurial IDEAMAKERS, providing advertising, marketing and creative solutions for innovative organizations.
Fred has participated in non-profit volunteer activities in the Rochester, NY community which include presentations in business and marketing classes, contributing expertise to the Rochester Ad Council (he is a recipient of the Ad Council’s Lantern Award) and more.

Mat Adams, President
Mat began his sales and marketing communications career as a salesperson, then a sales promotion specialist at Eastman Kodak. After 10 years, he joined Blair/BBDO Advertising as Marketing Director and rose to the position of Executive Vice President, running accounts such as Omega Watch, Manufacturers Hanover, Niagara Mohawk, Kodak Business Systems and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Mat, as CEO, then formed Adams Colway & Associates, an advertising, direct and interactive marketing firm. In 10 years, AC&A grew from 16 employees to 150, serving many local businesses and Fortune 500 companies.
Recently he joined Kopp & Brown as President, bringing with him his 5-Star Process in the quest to formulate strategy-driven communications programs which help marketers grow as well as keep their businesses.

John Brown, Partner
John started his career in advertising as a copywriter, joining Blair/BBDO Advertising as his first agency experience. He rose to become Creative Director and worked on accounts such as Omega Watch, BlueCross/Blue Shield, Ray-Ban Sunglasses, Manufacturers Hanover, Bausch & Lomb, Niagara Mohawk, Kodak and Xerox, and after 17 years became President of the agency.
After helping BBDO sell the agency, John joined Jay Advertising as Creative Director and Executive Vice President, and worked for 11 years on Wegmans, Buick, Time Warner, Rochester Community Savings Bank, Constellation Brands, Preferred Care and United Way.
For another 10 years he was Creative Director for Frontline Advertising, creating campaigns for Dorschel Automotive, Rochester Colonial, RTS, Charlotte Appliance, Camp Good Days and Ronald McDonald House.
John is the recipient of 4 ADDY, 17 Telly, 3 Cable Ace, and 3 Houston Film Festival awards as well as the Disney Award, the Wilbur Award, and, he was a Clio finalist.
